This document is to be used in association with a signed 'Pet Sales Contract' of Adelaide French bulldogs - MOSAC
General Health
Genetic Health
While every precaution is taken during breeding there are some breed specific traits that occur in the breed that are beyond our control and considered normal specifically:
Should Puppy upon delivery and up to 3 years of age be diagnosed with life inhibiting genetic defects excluding the breed specific traits listed above (BOAS, Hemivertebrae & related problems and other health concerns inherent in the breed)
The Buyer must consult with the Breeder and agree on the provision of veterinary reports and, where applicable, x-rays or genetic testing results, confirmed by two associated veterinarians, one (1) to be of Buyers choosing, one (1) to be of Breeders choosing, thereby causing Puppy to be unsuitable as a pet.
(Note: all veterinarian cost and testing expenses are the Buyers responsibility.)
The Seller provides the Buyer with one of the following options:
Buyers Responsibility
Breeder makes nor implies any warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, other than those written in this agreement.
This document along with 'Pet Sales Contract' signed and dated at the time of Puppy purchase by the Buyer, constitutes the entire agreement between the Breeder and Buyer with respect to the sale of the puppy.
Any disputes, mediation or legal proceedings will be held in the state of South Australia, council of Breeder’s residence.
General Health
- Breeder will provide Buyer with information detailing treatment Puppy has received under Breeder’s care.
- Breeder guarantees that Puppy is in good health as far as appears to the eye, has received appropriate medical vaccinations, worming and care and according to accompanying health record from veterinarian.
- Due to varying factors, allergies are not covered under the guarantee. Many allergies are food related, including ear infections, chewing paws, and scratching and may be resolved with food change.
- Breeder guarantees that Puppy is free of life-threatening diseases or disabilities for 72 hours after delivery to Buyer. Should life threatening diseases or disabilities be discovered by Buyer within 72 hours after receipt of Puppy, and can be attested to in writing to Breeder by Buyer’s licensed veterinarian within 72 hours, Breeder will provide Buyer with a replacement companion pet puppy as soon as such a puppy is available to Breeder or full refund upon return of puppy. Buyer must pay for any associated veterinary fees and shipping or miscellaneous charges associated with transport of the said Puppy and replacement puppy.
- Though Breeder takes all possible precautions, ear infections, ringworm, coccidian and giardia can all become apparent after stress and leaving the Breeder, and treatment must be addressed immediately. These are not considered life threatening diseases or disabilities and the above 72 hour refund or return of the puppy does not apply. Breeder is not held liable for any veterinarian examination costs, or treatment along with corresponding ramifications.
- The Breeder does not assume any liability for any injury to said puppy during transport or after leaving Breeder.
Genetic Health

- Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) - elongated soft palate/narrow nostrils
- Hemivertebrae and other related spine problems – being a screw tail breed they will have hemivertebra (misshapen vertebrae) causing their spine to be fragile
- Skin allergies, cherry eye, luxating patella, entropion, and other health concerns inherent in the breed
Should Puppy upon delivery and up to 3 years of age be diagnosed with life inhibiting genetic defects excluding the breed specific traits listed above (BOAS, Hemivertebrae & related problems and other health concerns inherent in the breed)
The Buyer must consult with the Breeder and agree on the provision of veterinary reports and, where applicable, x-rays or genetic testing results, confirmed by two associated veterinarians, one (1) to be of Buyers choosing, one (1) to be of Breeders choosing, thereby causing Puppy to be unsuitable as a pet.
(Note: all veterinarian cost and testing expenses are the Buyers responsibility.)
The Seller provides the Buyer with one of the following options:
- Should Buyer choose to keep Puppy, Breeder will refund 50% of the Companion Pet price that was originally paid for Puppy. With the submission to the Breeder of the supporting veterinary reports required above. The 50% refund does not apply to any testing, veterinary bills, shipping or travel costs which the Buyer might incur and is the responsibility of the Buyer. Buyer understands that in choosing this option that any and all further guarantees of Puppy’s 3 year health guarantee are null and void.
- Should Puppy be deemed to need to be euthanized due to genetic defect, Breeder will refund 100% of the Companion Pet price that was originally paid for Puppy or provide a replacement Puppy. With the submission to the Breeder of the supporting veterinary reports required above. The 100% refund does not apply to any testing, veterinary bills, shipping or travel costs which the Buyer might incur and is the responsibility of the Buyer. Buyer will produce proof of euthanizing to Breeder with veterinary noting the microchip number.
Buyers Responsibility
- Buyer hereby agrees that if at any time Buyer cannot take proper care of Puppy, the breeder can assist Buyer in finding a suitable home for Puppy over relinquish the Puppy to an animal shelter or rescue organization
- There are many factors that influence growth and development, such as diet, exercise, weight gain, environmental conditions, etc. Buyer assumes the responsibility to carry on with the appropriate vaccinations, worming and feeding schedule, as supplied by the Breeder. Buyer agrees to keep Puppy at the proper weight and fit throughout its normal growth period and in particular take good care of their spine and hips, avoiding stairs, jumping from heights, rough play etc until puppy has reached its full growth (over 2 years old).
- Buyer agrees to provide a suitable fenced area for Puppy to ensure safety. If Puppy is to be solely a house dog and there is no yard available, Buyer hereby agrees to keep Puppy on a leash when outside. Buyer agrees that Puppy will have access inside the house when Buyer is home and will not be kept crated/penned up the majority of the time.
- Buyer understands that a puppy takes a considerable amount of time to properly care for, train, and socialize and is willing to take on this responsibility.
- Buyer agrees to feed Puppy a quality dog food for proper health and nutrition.
- Should Buyer choose to break any of the above portions of this agreement, the remainder of the agreement will be considered null and void.
